Creating the change.

It all begins with passion. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, with the basics of permaculture principles as your foundation, the opportunity to create effective change and build resilient, sustainable and regenerative systems is now more important than ever.

Byron Centre for Permaculture is the leading provider of permaculture and sustainability education and resources in the Northern Rivers. In conjunction with Byron Region Community College (RTO 90013) the Centre offers the only government funded accredited Nationally Recognised Certificate courses and general sustainability courses that are integral to the region’s sustainable future and development.

Officially endorsed by National Regulatory bodies, our hands-on training programs, workshops and certificate courses cover the skills needed to create a more sustainable, abundant and integrated way of living, in our homes, workplaces, businesses and communities. Immersive, hands on learning and activities take place at the Centre’s purpose designed student site in Mullumbimby, NSW, a dynamic and vibrant space of practical examples of the application of permaculture.

Byron Centre for Permaculture’s incredible team of passionate and experienced tutors includes Julianne Hartman, Sharon Gibson, Bunya Halasz, Mark Pickard and Robyn Francis, Permaculture Designer, Sustainability Consultant, Educator and Facilitator of Djanbung Gardens.
